Social & Content Manager

As the Social & Content Manager, you will be the architect of how The Jilly Box tells its story and how it converts community into customers. This is a strategy-first role with a strong focus on execution, where you’ll lead the brand’s social and content vision to drive engagement, growth, and revenue. Working as part of a collaborative marketing team, you’ll manage the daily rhythm of content creation while building long-term campaigns that support product launches, brand initiatives, and storytelling moments. The ideal candidate will be a digital-first thinker who’s equally comfortable writing compelling copy as they are behind the camera creating engaging short-form content.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Strategy & Management
- Own the social media strategy across content, community engagement, and performance;
- Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly social programming aligned with the marketing calendar and business priorities;
- Create and manage a dynamic content calendar featuring brand storytelling, supplier highlights, trending content, and key sales campaigns;
- Collaborate with photographers and videographers to concept and execute visually engaging content;
- Stay ahead of platform trends and algorithms, sharing insights to enhance performance;
- Lead weekly and monthly social analytics reporting, using data to inform future strategy;
- Ensure all content reflects The Jilly Box’s core brand values: empowerment, impact, and community.
Content Strategy & Copywriting
- Develop and maintain a cohesive content calendar for all written brand communications;
- Write compelling, on-brand copy for social media, newsletters, video scripts, print materials, and more;
- Craft storytelling and messaging for subscription boxes, product launches, cause-based campaigns, and The Market;
- Drive storytelling that connects emotionally while achieving measurable results.
Photoshoots & Video Content
- Strategically plan and attend monthly and quarterly photoshoots, supporting talent days, supplier features, and seasonal box shoots;
- Create and manage shot lists, scripts, and pre-production details in collaboration with creative teams;
- Develop and edit iPhone and social-first video content from concept to execution;
- Capture behind-the-scenes and real-time content that brings the brand to life;
- Confidently represent the brand on camera when capturing authentic, organic moments;
- Additional duties and projects as required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in social media management, content strategy, or digital marketing, with a strong storytelling portfolio;
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred;
- Deep understanding of social media trends, analytics, and performance optimization (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.);
- Expert writing and editing skills with an ability to adapt tone and style for diverse audiences;
- Hands-on experience with content creation, video editing, and creative direction;
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities;
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and genuine enthusiasm for The Jilly Box’s mission;

eCommerce & Digital Merchandising Manager

As the eCommerce & Digital Merchandising Manager, you’ll own the strategy execution of eCommerce and digital marketing, with a strong focus on merchandising, campaign planning, customer experience, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities:
eCommerce Strategy & Merchandising
- Build and manage the annual eCommerce marketing calendar in collaboration with Marketing, aligned to product launches, promotions, and key business priorities;
- Define digital merchandising and bundle strategies with Procurement and Merchandising, including pricing, margin, product mix, and timing;
- Partner with Creative on photography direction and product content (imagery, copy, specifications) to elevate the shopping experience;
- Oversee weekly merchandising updates, content refreshes, and product launches to maximize conversion, average order value, and revenue.
Website & Optimization
- Collaborate with Systems & Operations on the digital roadmap, including returns, reviews, add-on strategies, affiliate programs, and more;
- Monitor site performance and optimize navigation, layout, and content hierarchy for an intuitive, conversion-driven customer journey;
- Leverage analytics, customer feedback, and reviews to continuously improve the eCommerce experience.
Campaign & Go-to-Market Execution
- Plan and execute seasonal refreshes, product launches, and promotions across website, email, paid media, and social channels in collaboration with Marketing;
- Develop and execute conversion-focused digital campaigns that align with brand storytelling and business objectives.
Digital Marketing Channels: Email, Paid Media & Social
- Lead the Email Marketing strategy to drive traffic, engagement, and conversion;
- Build and manage Paid Media strategy across Meta, Google, and other digital channels, overseeing creative briefs, targeting, pacing, and performance tracking;
- Monitor campaign budgets and ROI, providing actionable insights and recommendations;
- Support organic social content strategy and execution, as needed.
Analytics, Forecasting & Reporting
- Use Shopify Analytics, GA4, and internal dashboards to analyze performance and guide decisions;
- Partner with Finance & Merchandising to forecast demand and align with Operations on inventory and fulfillment;
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on sales, campaign performance, and customer trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a key connector between Procurement, Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and efficient execution;
- Develop tools, briefs, and processes to improve communication and project flow.
Market Awareness & Innovation
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive activity, and best practices in digital commerce and merchandising;
- Share insights to inform product selection, marketing campaigns, and customer experience enhancements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or merchandising, ideally within retail or lifestyle brands;
- Proven track record driving online sales and performance through merchandising, campaigns, and optimization;
- Hands-on experience with Shopify (or similar platform), GA4, and digital ad platforms (Meta, Google);
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate insights into action;
- Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills;
- A creative, entrepreneurial mindset aligned with The Jilly Box’s mission and values.
The successful candidate can be based in either Vancouver or the Okanagan. This hybrid role may require travel to Kelowna. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience. As the VP, Product & eCommerce, you will be responsible for the vision, strategy, and performance of The Jilly Box’s subscription business, limited edition boxes, and eCommerce marketplace. You will lead a talented cross-functional team across product development, procurement, merchandising, and vendor relations ensuring that every product, partnership, and purchase reflects their values and delivers an exceptional customer experience.
This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution. You will bring a balance of creativity and business acumen, driving innovation in product curation and digital merchandising, while building a scalable infrastructure that supports growth, profitability, and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and drive the seasonal and long-term product strategy across all Jilly Box lines: subscription box, limited-edition boxes and eCommerce marketplace;
- Partner with Creative and Marketing to align product mix, storytelling, and launches with brand themes and business goals;
- Champion innovation in product development, exclusive collaborations, and custom product lines experiences;
- Lead product lifecycle decisions, from concept to pricing, grounded in data, trends, and customer insights.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team spanning Product, Merchandising, and eCommerce;
- Translate brand strategy and financial goals into clear roadmaps, KPIs, and performance outcomes;
- Act as a key connector between Creative, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Systems to deliver seamless execution;
- Foster a culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and inclusion.
Procurement & Product Development Oversight
- Oversee seasonal box execution — from supplier sourcing to final product delivery and quality assurance;
- Build and nurture supplier relationships, vendor onboarding, and contract negotiations aligned with The Jilly Box’s values;
- Lead custom product development and packaging processes in partnership with Creative and Operations;
- Manage QC, sampling, and readiness for photo shoots and product launches.
eCommerce & Merchandising Strategy
- Own the strategy and performance of The Market by The Jilly Box;
- Develop merchandising plans that drive traffic, conversion, and customer lifetime value;
- Partner cross-functionally to plan launch calendars, seasonal refreshes, and promotional strategies;
- Use analytics tools (Shopify, GA4, internal dashboards) to inform decision-making and growth initiatives;
- Oversee site content, UX enhancements, and digital merchandising to elevate the online experience.
Revenue Ownership & Business Performance
- Own top-line and margin performance across both subscription boxes, limited-edition boxes and eCommerce channels;
- Monitor COGS, inventory turnover, sell-through, and cash flow;
- Develop and manage seasonal and promotional budgets in partnership with Finance and Operations.
Values Alignment & Impact Integration
- Ensure all product and sourcing decisions reflect The Jilly Box’s core values: trust, connection, community, diversity, and impact;
- Champion ethical, sustainable, and inclusive procurement practices in line with B Corp certification;
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve sourcing, packaging, and supplier diversity;

- 10+ years of progressive experience in product, merchandising, or category management in eCommerce, DTC, retail, or CPG;
- Proven success leading both product development and digital commerce strategy in a scaling business;

Operations Coordinator

As the brand continues to grow its community and expand its digital and retail footprint, The Jilly Box is seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to support the seamless execution of their subscription box, limited-edition boxes and eCommerce operations.
As the Operations Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of information, products, and processes between suppliers, their internal teams, and their fulfillment partners. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll support procurement, logistics, warehouse and fulfillment partners, and data requirements, ensuring timelines are met, details are accurate, and every Jilly Box product arrives with care and quality.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in precision, organization, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Coordination & Logistics Support
- Serve as a key point of contact for suppliers after contracts are signed, supporting production and delivery timelines;
- Communicate and follow-up with suppliers following a regular cadence to ensure progress and deadlines;
- Request and review supplier packing lists, verifying details against contracts for accuracy;
- Collaborate with vendors on packaging and product guidelines and adherence to requirements;
- Track bulk shipment ETAs in Monday.com and update weekly operations reports;
- Vendor management and follow-up to adhere to bulk and sample shipping processes;
- Provide logistical and sample coordination support for all photoshoots;
- Assist with donation and fundraising logistics as needed.
Samples Management
- Track bulk and box-fitting samples, escalating delays when necessary;
- Coordinate product and packaging samples between the office, suppliers, and warehouse;
- Manage QC sample approvals, ensuring timely delivery to warehouse partners;
- Confirm supplier QC documentation is received and shared ahead of product receiving.
Documentation & Data Entry
- Create and record purchase orders, supplier forms, and related data in Monday.com and internal spreadsheets;
- Support order entry for all departments, ensuring accuracy and consistency;
- Summarize data for management reporting and maintain organized digital records;
- Support ad hoc administrative tasks such as document formatting, scanning, and database maintenance.
Warehouse & Inventory Support
- Assist with packaging inventory tracking and quarterly warehouse assessments;
- Support product returns, rework logistics, and warehouse documentation;
- Ensure warehouse teams receive accurate packing guidelines and QC checklists for every shipment.
Customs & Compliance Support
- Assist with documentation for U.S. shipments, including HTS codes, customs declarations, FDA approvals, and contents verification.
Requirements
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through;
- Strong multitasker who can manage competing timelines with efficiency and calm;
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and familiar with project management tools such as Monday.com;

The successful candidate will be based in the Okanagan. This hybrid role will work a minimum of one day a week in our Kelowna office and will travel to Vernon periodically. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
